Firstmile’s latest completed transaction was the acquisition of 100% of a portfolio of 9 inner city Johannesburg residential properties, commercial rental businesses, and development land from JSE listed REIT, SA Corporate Real Estate in March 2022 (the “SA Corp Portfolio”) with a deal value of R620million (including transaction costs) with R470m debt funding from ABSA Limited. Separately, Firstmile acquired Courtleigh Court from a third-party seller for a deal value of R40m, funded 100% by Lonsa equity. This Firstmile portfolio accounts for some 4,000 affordable housing (existing and potential) units.
