Overview
In 2004, Firstmile Properties was established as a key member in a larger group of companies with the purpose of setting milestones in the commercial property market.
Firstmile Properties holds unencumbered titles to several prime-located blue-chip commercial buildings, industrial parks, residential properties, affordable housing, and student accommodation premises.
Firstmile Properties acquired 8 income-generating properties in the Johannesburg CBD from the Affordable Housing Company (AFHCO), a subsidiary of SA Corporate Real Estate Limited (SACORE). This acquisition translates into 1,660 residential units and approximately 4,537 sqm of retail space. All these properties are located in the Johannesburg CBD. In addition to the above-mentioned acquisition is a land parcel with a development potential of 1,220 – 1,600 residential units and approximately 10,000 sqm of retail space.
